We are super proud of these students who were selected by staff members to receive the award for being empathetic, which was our Bulldog Trait of the Month for October. We spent lots of time discussing with all students what it means to show empathy by putting yourself in someone else's shoes or recognizing how your words and actions could have a positive or a negative impact on others. Congrats to all who were recognized for this trait!

Last week, we recognized the WJHS students pictured here as recipients of the Bulldog Trait of the Month for September. All month we talked about the importance of being OPTIMISTIC, and staff members nominated these students for showing that trait. Choosing to look for the good in things and keeping a positive outlook when challenges arise are two key ways that our students can practice optimism, which is an important part of being a resilient person. Congrats to these WJHS students on their award!
