W.J. Zahnow Elementary Kindergarten Registration & Screening Information

The Zahnow Office will be taking phone calls for Kindergarten Registration and Screenings during the week of May 4-May 8, from 8:30-2:30. If you have a child that will be 5 years old by September 1, 2020 and plans to attend school in the 2020-2021 school year, please call during this week. We will be taking information by phone so that your child’s information can be entered into our Skyward student data system. This will allow you to officially register your child in July when online registration opens for all students in the District. 

There are a few things our office will need before the District online registration in July: 

1. Documentation that you live in the Waterloo School District in the form of a bill or payment that is attached to the residency address, or rental or mortgage papers.
2. An official copy of the student’s birth certificate. These documents may be mailed, faxed, or emailed. The contact information is listed below.

More information on the actual Kindergarten Screening dates has not been set yet. We will continue to get guidance from the state as to when we can set these dates and what it will look like. As soon as we know this we will share this information.
