General Announcements
Due to Covid restrictions, students will not be allowed to wait in the lobby in the mornings. Please try to arrive as close to 7:30am as possible.
Students, RESPECT is one of the greatest attributes you can learn and will benefit you your entire life. Who has it? Your teachers will be on the lookout for it during the month of March. So... you are RESPECTFULLY asked to let this attribute shine.
A ping pong tournament will be held on Wednesday, March 17 at 12:00pm in the upstairs gym. There will be a $5.00 entry fee that will be collected when you arrive to the tournament. Sign up for the tournament is in the main office and is limited to the first 20 students.
Congratulations to the Academic Challenge team for defeating Mascoutah in the sectional competition. Individual winners include Haley Weilbacher (1st) and Sami Wheat (3rd) in biology, Emma Stutsman and Gabe Lewis (1st), Eddie Heinen (2nd), and Haley Weilbacher (3rd) in chemistry, Noah Skinner (1st), and Jack Schnepel (2nd) in Computer Science, Ian Schrader (1st) Engineering Graphics, Eddie Heinen and Emma Stutsman (1st), Sami Wheat (2nd), and Emily Dougherty (3rd) in English, Gabe Lewis (1st) in math, and Ian Schrader (3rd) in physics.
Seniors- Cap and Gown orders can be placed online @ jostens.com until Monday, March 15th. After today you will need to call Jostens @ 618-654-1001 to place an order. Cap and gown prices will go up after March 15th and you will need to pay over the phone.
The Waterloo Piranhas Swim Team is looking for school aged individuals who want to compete in the sport of swimming this summer. Registration is going to begin soon and the team is in need of high school students, no matter the skill level. If you are interested you may visit their website: www.waterloopiranhas.com, on twitter and instagram or talk with Coach Lucash.
Guidance
Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling is hosting virtual college fairs on March 17th & 18th from 5:00 – 7:45 pm. Go to www.strivescan.com/illinois/mar17/ to register for any of the several virtual sessions being offered. You can sign up for up to 3 different 45-minute sessions of your choosing! Explore the schedule and register for each session you want to attend. You will hear from up to six colleges in each session. We recommend registering for at least one session in each time slot. Once you register, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your personalized link to join the Zoom Webinar. Since these are webinars, your camera and microphone will be off, but you’ll still be able to ask questions live.

All students interested in competing in track and field this spring need to see Mr. Huffman in room B207 to pick up paperwork. All paperwork needs to be turned in before you can practice. We start conditioning today.
