General Announcements
Congratulations to the WHS Speech team for their 1st place finish this past weekend in Harrisburg. Eden Stratton and Jordyn Kretchmer both came home with 2 Varsity championships each. Sophomore Austin Bedford earned a Varsity championship in Impromptu speaking. Vanessa Truong, Sarah Hanlin, Claire Papenberg, Haley Bode, Maddy Naumann, and Emma Wittenauer all earned Junior Varsity championships.
The following students have books to be picked up in the library: Isaac Buckman, Stanley Harmon, Marie Hildreth, Hunter Howard, Ava McClenahan, Cooper Sandhenrich, and Clayton Turner
Athletics
The wrestling team beat East St. Louis last night to start the season 1-0. There were pins by Tanner Fry, Evan Fink, and Brett Howard pinned his opponent in 8 seconds.
Congratulations to the Cheerleaders on winning the Medium Varsity Division at their competition on Saturday while defeating MVC rival Highland! They will compete again at Highland on December 14th.
